I’m Niels, an Embedded Systems Engineer at MEMSYS. Originally from Hoek van Holland, I’ve always had a passion for technology, beginning with building Lego Technik and programming Arduino robots during high school. After graduating from Haagse Hogeschool in Delft with a focus on electrical engineering, I continued my journey at TU Delft, where my MSc thesis explored wireless communication for energy harvesting devices. 

My passion for energy harvesting grew from there, driven by the challenge of creating ultra-low power electronics that could truly unlock the potential of energy harvesting technology. Before joining MEMSYS, I founded Zero Energy Development to focus on these challenges, but eventually realized that my interests align much more closely with engineering than with business management. Joining MEMSYS was a natural next step, perfectly matching my goal of advancing practical, end-to-end energy harvesting solutions alongside a talented team of passionate engineers.
