Predictive Maintenance Engineer Internship

We are a young DeepTech start-up based in YES!Delft that develops kinetic energy harvesting technology and an IoT product for digitalization of trains. We have identified a clear problem with detecting damaged wheels and see this as a great opportunity to develop and implement a predictive maintenance solution. We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic student who is interested in an internship or graduation project in helping us develop this predictive maintenance use-case.

  • Set-up methods for collecting both existing customer data and generating new data through implementing sensors.
  • Identify performance indicators from the data and develop techniques to perform analysis.
  • Work with our engineers to conceptualize and develop new features for our products.
  • Run experiments at customers to implement these features and collect customer feedback.

  • Working towards a degree in the direction of Mechanical Engineering, Transport & logistics, Civil engineering, Applied Mathematics, Data science, or similar.
  • Passionate about making a real impact on the operations of a traditional industry like railway transportation through using novel technology.
  • Somebody who is eager to embrace the adventure, takes ownership of the work and shares our good vibes.
  • Available for a minimum of 4 months on a full-time basis.
  • Able to commute to our HQ in YES!Delft.
  • Prior experience with modelling and programming, including proficiency in languages commonly used in data analysis and machine learning, such as Python or Matlab.

  • The chance to put your talents to work and make a direct impact on a more sustainable future through the development of new technologies.
  • The ability to play a big role within a fast-growing organisation and set yourself up for a great career opportunity.
