About Memsys
We are a young DeepTech start-up based in YES!Delft that develops kinetic energy harvesting technology and self-powered sensors for industrial applications. We have the audaciously ambitious goal of powering a billion devices by 2040; eliminating the waste of billions of batteries. We are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and creative engineering student to contribute to the design, analysis, and testing of cutting-edge piezoelectric mechanisms.
🔥 We challenge you!
• Propose, analyse and evaluate concepts, designs and materials for piezoelectric energy harvesting mechanisms.
• Mechanical design of mechanisms and surrounding parts (mountings, casings, testing features), producing mechanical design drawings.
• Develop and analytical models and finite element analysis (FEA) models to evaluate and optimize mechanical designs.
• Building prototypes, developing production tools and processes, analysing performance, and iterating on designs based on test results.
👉🏼 You are
• Working towards an engineering degree in mechanical engineering or similar and have a strong interest in working in a multidisciplinary team.
• You are skilled in designing and analysing mechanical systems with CAD tools (preferably Solidworks) and FEA methods (preferably Comsol).
• A hands-on problem solver who enjoys working directly with hardware, tackling practical challenges, and finding innovative solutions through prototyping and experimentation.
• Somebody who is eager to embrace the adventure, takes ownership of the work and shares our good vibes.
👩💻 Requirements
• Available for a minimum of 4 months on a full-time basis.
• Able to commute to our HQ in YES!Delft.
• Strong communication skills in English and preferably Dutch.

🏦 What do you get in return?
• The opportunity to work in an inspiring environment where tech meets entrepreneurship, together with a group of young and highly motivated peers in a culture that celebrates professional excellence and is serious about fun.
• The chance to put your talents to work and make a direct impact on a more sustainable future through the development of new technologies.
• The ability to create something that you can be proud of and that will be seen by hundreds or perhaps thousands of people.
• Internship compensation, travel allowance and a ton of extra’s such as Friday afternoon drinks, company outings and more
