During the summer we have expanded our management team! MEMSYS is happy to announce that Hugo Romer (Villari, Allseas) and Philip Seijger (FORWARD.one, Trackunit) have joined the team!
Hugo brings extensive technical and commercial experience, having previously founded the successful infrastructure sensing and data platform: Villari. At MEMSYS, Hugo will take on the role of CCO to lead business development into powering industrial IoT applications and expand our heavy rail deployments.
“MEMSYS’ technology has the potential to accelerate the Industry 4.0 promise by solving the scalability issue in industrial IoT. Replacing batteries with real-world energy harvesting enables large scale deployment of IoT without the headache of maintaining a sensor fleet – it is a set and forget solution! I’m looking forward to working with the team.”
– Hugo Romer
Philip brings experience in sensing and tracking of construction equipment (Trackunit), as well as high-tech venture capital (FORWARD.one). At MEMSYS, Philip will fill the COO role to ensure we can serve industrial IoT companies and end-users at scale. He will oversee product- and software development, manufacturing, and finance.
“MEMSYS is developing a novel technology to solve a key problem in the deployment of wireless IoT sensors: battery life. Bringing a new technology to market is a challenging endeavor and requires an organized and strategic approach to both product development and deployment. I’m excited to build on the strong foundation that has been laid by the team.”
– Philip Seijger
Thijs Blad, the founder of MEMSYS, will continue as CEO and is welcoming the new team:
“Having Hugo and Philip on board marks an important milestone in growing MEMSYS as a company. We have the audacious ambition of powering a billion wireless devices with vibration energy harvesting and I feel confident that with our combined skills and shared passion we can be serious about achieving that.”
– Thijs Blad
MEMSYS is happy to welcome Hugo and Philip in the team and we believe this is an important step in the development of MEMSYS!
